I love this so much, and I empathize. I went through the exact same traditional publishing cycle ten years ago. I stepped away from writing because of all the stress and drama. The jealously is a real thing. Now I am writing a new book, for the first time in nearly a decade, and I refuse to get sucked into the publishing stress before I have finished it. I have done both self-published and traditional, and I must admit, self was so much better.

Shlee, this is so true...'how even a best selling author could still somehow be jealous of other, less accomplished authors.
